Hello

I’m sharing tools and reflections on physical, emotional and spiritual wellness in the hopes my stories can help someone out there.

Love in the Time of Corona - Loveletter #1

Congratulations on feeling well enough to write today. This is wonderful to see, Claudine. I give you love and praise for getting to this point.

You’ve been home for almost one week after a month of being in and out of the hospital for multiple surgeries and procedures on your lungs. I know you really haven’t had the time to wrap your head around everything that has happened over the last 45-60 days. Don’t rush. You’ve been keeping your focus on putting one breath after another, on deciding what pain medication is necessary to stay on the healing path, on expressing and embodying gratitude for all the gifts bestowed upon you: your family and community that have sacrificed their time and resources to support you and your boys during this time, the protection from your guides, ancestors and medical professionals, your practices and strength that prepared you for this challenge, and so many more. You are doing an amazing job. It’s okay and important to keep focusing on these things, even though you feel compelled to pick up your to-do lists as mother, worker, teacher, taxpayer, a member of society, businessperson, etc,..Now is the time for you to focus solely on your own deep healing. This is a beautiful opportunity—as you (re)learn how to breathe, you are reinventing how you move, how you speak, how you listen, how you live in the world through this foundational, basic, yet divinely complex process of breathing. It is enough. It is more than enough. Keep going, love. You are enough. You are more than enough.
